- FCC Licensed ham radio operator since 1991 as N1KHB, and commercial FCC GROL license since 1994.
- Currently operating mostly portable with solar power, but occasionally at home on commercial power. I home brew when possible.
- I belong to the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) where I am currently a Volunteer Examiner, Volunteer Instructor, and Conn. Section Technical Coordinator.
